Day 30: More White Stuff

Camera: Nikon D5000

I love the little tuft of snow on top of the round post. Was trying to capture the snow actually falling in this shot, but it's hard to tell. Hopefully I'll have some blue sky shots to post tomorrow!

Day 28 & Day 29: Snow and Paws

Day 28: A Light Doostin'

Day 29: Pile of Paws

Camera: Nikon D5000
Day 28: This shot does not have any effects added to it.. I took it through the funny glass piece in the front door, which distorts everything a little bit.

Day 29: My black lab loves to curl his paws in one big pile when he naps. The "pile of paws" shot is one of my favorites.. I've never quite gotten the light right, bt still working on it.

Day 27: YUM!

Camera: Nikon D5000

Why I love my husband (so much.) Doesn't this make your mouth water? (Mine is.)

Day 26: Nose Wrinkles

Camera: Nikon D5000

I've been starting to experiment with the various monochrome/filter settings on my camera.. I hope more exciting things will be coming (other than my favorite setting, Sepia.)

Day 24 & Day 25: Light

Day 24

Day 25

Canon D5000

Like I said. Just cannot help myself. I really love the light in his eyes, and smile, and curiosity. I'm a big fan of over-the-shoulder shots.

Day 23: Pacify Me

Camera: Nikon D5000

I really liked how the light of day was reflected in the paci... get it?!

For the record, I've been struggling to find shots that are not my two boys or two furry kids! I just cannot seem to help myself.

Day 22: Great Expectation

Camera: Nikon D5000

A favorite pose of theirs, a favorite shot of mine. If I can get them to ignore me, which, for retribution reasons, they do happily these days.

Day 21: Brothers

Camera: Nikon D5000
Until someone tells me how to make those cool montages on freeware, you get a 3-for-1 today.. and no, it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm linking up with Chris' hosted linky. Nothing.

And yes, if I had editing software I would edit out the potty seat! C'est la vie!

Day 20: Portrait of the Apples

Camera : Nikon D5000

We've been buying LOTS of apples lately, and my toddler loves the Dr. Suess "Ten Apples UP on Top" book, and these were lying around... one thing leads to another ..

Day 19: Leftover Holidays II

Camera: Nikon D5000

I'm a huge fan of playing around with depth of field; plus I like the white against the muted earth tones behind it.

Day 18: Leftover Holidays

Camera: Nikon D5000

I like that this photo is slightly uncomfortable to look at, yet the colors beckon.. it also speaks to the fleeting passage of time. I'd like to soft this up with an effect, just can't seem to find the time to play with them yet.

Day 17: Bubbles

Day 16: In the Light of the Moon..

Camera: Canon EOS Rebel 35mm (film)

..a little egg, lay on a leaf. I like how it's fantastically blurry, almost Impressionist.

Day 15: Hanging Out

Camera: Canon EOS Rebel 35mm (film)

If I'd had the digital SLR then, I would have corrected the shadow across his face!.. but I like the grain, especially in the green hills/marina in the background.

Day 14: On the Move

Canon EOS 35mm film

I know the point of my new photo blog is to keep me shooting, but this week has been too crazy. So, enjoy another shot I took at the lake last summer with the 35mm. I enjoyed taking it.

Day 13: Caught in Headlights

Camera: Canon EOS Rebel 35mm

I cannot keep up with this photo blog!.. So it's time to share some photos I didn't actually take in the last week. At the lake this summer, I took a few rolls with my 35mm camera. This shiny beauty was just sitting there one afternoon on the way to dinner, begging to be photographed. Note: no effects here, the graininess is from the scanned print!

Day12: Innocence

Camera: Nikon D5000

Those eyes, those eyes, that little nose!
Clearly I'm not tiring of this subject.

Day 9: Holidays

Friday, January 8, 2010

Day 8: Rest

Day 7: Focus

Camera: Nikon D5000

Day 6: Flight

Camera: Nikon D5000

A toy, but I enjoy that it feels real here.

Day 5: Sweetness

Camera: Nikon D5000

My 2nd favorite subject (it's a tie.)

Day 4: Laughter

Camera: Nikon D5000

One of my very favorite subjects, and the reason I will never post as regularly as I want to.

Day 3: In a Fog

Camera: Nikon D5000 with 18-55mm

Again, needs to be cropped. Still figuring out where the viewfinder finds me.

Day 2: Furry

Camera: Nikon D5000 with 18-55mm
These will be some of my best and toughest subjects. Never stationary, often sarcastic models.

Note: None of these images initially are edited; they are exactly as they were taken, with all flaws.

Day 1: A New Beginning

Camera: Nikon Coolpix S570

I just enjoy the bright sun that blinds from the upper-left, and the reflection on the railing. I thought a fitting start to my new photo blog.

Please feel free to comment, critique, enjoy, or tear apart. At any time!
