(I know. It's a "daily" photo blog. I take something every day, I do! But sometimes life happens and I download weekly. If we were in NC, we'd say, "Git 'er done!")

As you probably guessed, we went to the Kennedy Center on Fri night for Verdi's Requiem. Here is the outside shot I got as we drove away (weeping), with some cool lights of the city behind on the left.

So, I'm painfully aware that I live in one of the most picturesque, photogenic capitals in the world, and I've been shooting daily shots of... my kids. And my dogs. So I'm trying to capture a little more of our glorious city. For my fellow photobloggers.

I went to drop off a donation to a charitable organization this weekend, and, wanting to capture the bright blue sky shining overhead, looked up and saw this. Cool building.

Day 60: Flip Flop Nation

We went out to our local "Beach Shack" (cool seafood joint) with some friends and toddler friends to see a kid's musician play.. then stayed for dinner with our huge crowd. This wall had signed flip-flops all over it, so of course I told everyone I had to "get it for my photo blog." This was met with blank looks.

I'm constantly trying to figure out how to shoot streaming sunlight (it's called purchasing a new lens.) This didn't quite turn out like I thought it would.

Day 28: This shot does not have any effects added to it.. I took it through the funny glass piece in the front door, which distorts everything a little bit.

Day 29: My black lab loves to curl his paws in one big pile when he naps. The "pile of paws" shot is one of my favorites.. I've never quite gotten the light right, bt still working on it.
